Online Workshop with Rajlaxmi,

Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 January 2024, 10 – 12.

This series of workshops with Rajlaxmi have brought us such joy and sustained us through the last couple of years. Her teaching is really inspiring and she often seems to give us just what is needed, at just the right moment. We do not admit huge numbers at these events, so we have managed to create a real sense of community across continents and many people have come to each one.

This event is suitable for experienced practitioners, with a strong, regular home practice, including Sirsasana, Sarvangasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana etc. The asanas will not all be demonstrated, so you need to know the Sanskrit names for the familiar poses and be ready to work towards some less familiar and more challenging asanas. In her previous workshops with us, Rajlaxmi has been showing us how to progress towards some of the less often taught asanas on the new Level 3 syllabus. A rare opportunity as there are very few teachers in the UK able to teach these poses. You will need your own equipment, including a mat, chair, bolster, blankets, bricks, belts.

A link to the recordings of the sessions will be available for 3 weeks afterwards. The recordings will not be downloadable and cannot be purchased afterwards. It is not possible to book for individual days of this event and we are no longer able to offer a discounted rate for workshops.

Please book on the Timetable page  Scroll through to the first day of the event and click on ‘Log in to register’. You will be booked for both days.

To get immediate confirmation of your booking, please sign in to your account or create an account, before booking. Look for your booking confirmation email as it contains important information and please contact Lucy at iyoganowstudio@gmail.com if you cannot find it.

If you are registered at this workshop, the zoom link will be sent to you by email. For this reason, please do not unsubscribe from my emails before the event.

Practice Session, next one tbc, 10.30 – 12.30, in the STUDIO.

Come and join Lucy and Katie in the studio, to practice together and use the studio equipment. Suitable for all regular students of Yoga Now, with a home practice.

Each person’s practice will be self-directed but we could have a theme so that the explorations and energy will have a common thread. As these will be spaces of self-practice within a group with no-one leading or directing, people will of course be welcome to practice as they choose or what best suits their conditions on the day.

Group practice is a tremendous way to learn and at the same time feel connected with others who also love yoga. They are kind, supportive and respectful spaces. It can be inspiring to see how others practice, how props are used; we can be reminded of different approaches to asana or of those we neglect; a pair of hands can be there to help us. The supportive environment may encourage us to find courage in place of fear, to explore further and delve deeper.

1 credit, £4.
Please book from the timetable.
