The Beginners Course at Yoga Now studio is the best place to begin your yoga journey. It is designed to introduce absolute beginners to the basic asanas of Iyengar yoga and to progress week by week towards a good understanding of the fundamentals of yoga.
In this course, everyone is starting at the beginning together and progressing together at a suitable pace. Actions are introduced in simple poses first and learning is consolidated before moving on to more challenging asanas. This helps to build confidence and to prevent injury as well as providing a sound base for understanding.
We only offer the Beginners Course 2 or 3 times a year, usually in September / October and January but we will offer more classes where possible, if there is a demand.
The Beginners Course is usually 6 weeks long and you should attend each week. We often run another 6 week course straight afterwards and many people repeat the course and we recommend this if possible. Or you can move straight on to a Beginners or Ongoing Beginners class.
